(And this is why am I very dubious about getting a Switch, since that too, would be functionally a Pokémon-platform, since literally nothing else available on the Switch I wuld be interested in.) Stuff that I have bought (or use) is defined by what I use it for, as far as I'm concerned. They might do other things, but as far as i am concerned, those are irrelevant features, so they don't matter. (It is no different, really to my Gamecube and Gameboy literally (or, in practical effect my DS and 3DSXL) being exclusively platforms for playing Pokémon on. (In fact, this entirely back-and-forth has more effort than is deserved, really, and I probably ought to stop here.) And currently, there are only 13 Steam Backgrounds that are available on Steam. Each of the background are cost around 2,000 Points. I - among a lof of other people - was annoyed when they had that little bit where they automatically opened the chat window when Steam started until they fixed it (since no-one wants an unecessary window open on any program, Steam is no exception), but other than a repeat incident of that - I simply don't care. You can purchase a Steam Mini-profile background from the Points Shop. Click the 'Send Friend Request' button 3.Right-Click Bonanza. Steam already knows these details anyhow by running alongside the game, so you're really not protecting anything from Valve in particular by turning Rich Presence off. Right click their avatar either in the user list or in the chat window: B. The feature can be very easily turned off, and making it off by default would mean most people who would want it turned on wouldn't even know it exists. If I don't want people seeing what I'm playing, I just set my status to invisible. The developers provide an easy way out for the gamers if they face any. I don't really see why you trust people with your privacy enough to have them on your friends list, and play the game while visibly online so they can see that you're playing Stellaris, but them knowing your Stellaris empire's name (And that's really the only extra that they see with Rich Presence) somehow crosses the line. Opting out of the Steam Beta mode will fix the issue if its not caused by your system. People are acting like Steam is broadcasting their credit card information around, talking about the "passing of information" and other stuff. The only information it gives off is what empire you're playing at what year. I'm just going to point a few things out
